Executing a Case Model

This topic describes the procedure to execute a Case Model.

Before you begin this task:


Executing a Case Model will create an instance of the Case Model in run time. The associated tasks of the Case instance will be delivered to Case Inbox. The Case workers can access these tasks and complete them. The following are the steps to execute a Case Model from CWS Workspace:

You cannot pass Case data or Case variable details when the Case Model is executed from Collaborative Workspace and Case Model editor. To pass Case data and Case variables while triggering a Case Model, you need to use the [CreateCase] SOAP API. Refer to Triggering a Case Model from an XForm for more information on how to trigger a Case Model with Case data and Case variables.

  1. Select a starting point and click the button to open a Case Model. The Case Model is displayed in the Workspace Documents.
  2. In the Workspace Documents, go to <Solution> > <Project>, right-click the <Case Model> and select Execution > Run. Alternatively, right-click in the Case Modeling environment and select Execution > Run.

    The Case Model is executed and a confirmation message displays indicating that an instance of the Case is successfully created. In case, you want to view the instance related details you can use the option 'Show Case Instances' available.
